So today I picked up my new car, a 2004 plate Renault Clio Sport 182, this replaces my previous car which was the Renault Clio Sport 172:

The 182 does feel a little different to the 182, the first thing I noticed is that the steering rack and pinion ratio is slightly different, it’s a lot easier to turn tight corners quickly, this was not a difficult task in the older model, but this revision does make quite a big difference.
The engine is the other things I’ve noticed, in a Top Gear review Jeremy Clarkson road tested the Clio Sport 182 and commented that in 5th gear the engine almost seemed to be screaming, at the time I first watched the video I was driving the 172 and couldn’t really see his point but now I have the 182 I do see what he meant, again, it’s not a massive setback, I think you know what you’re buying when you buy RenaultSport cars, they are anything but refined and I love them to bits!
